Compare known destinations, costs and permitted forecasts before a player commits.
Hem’s action labels share the frame with an opponent-turn message.
In the inspected project source, Battle opens the battle menu. Selecting the Attack tab opens a command tray. The pictured frame alone cannot show either next step.

Place known cost or consequence beside the selected target. Only show chance information the game is permitted to disclose.
When a public terrain rule matters to a legal move, attach its explanation to the relevant tile.
Compare what the player can infer. The scale labels describe the production context of each example.
These are editorial historical comparisons for UIX-01. We screened publisher galleries and developer manuals for 24 PC games and two console titles, selected readable feature-level exhibits and ranked how clearly they answer the question at the moment of use, how well the image and original account support the reading, and what distinct method the example contributes. Scope spans the 1990 Monkey Island lineage through 2024 releases. Awards identify the category a jury actually recognized. The editorial rank is a judgment about this interface problem, not that jury’s verdict or a vote covering every game ever made. The three Snake Eyes picks optimize for transfer to the estate and opponent-turn arena, separately from rank.
Each entry links to the image and the feature evidence. Award badges name the recognized category. The saved direction records the director’s own choices.

The terrain description states the consequence of pushing a ground unit into a chasm, beside the very board where the player is planning. It leaves the player to choose the tactic.
Forecast with separate commitment
The shot audience, uncertainty and possible impact are visible before the final command. The additional-information control lets a novice investigate without firing.
Offer with explicit downside
Accept describes both what the player receives and what the game removes. Refuse remains visually available, allowing an informed choice inside the fiction.
Prospective and current figures at the point of commitment
The driver can see precisely what would change before pressing Purchase, while a separate path supports deeper inspection.
Plain-language promise on focus
The player can keep reading the character’s natural language while checking its public mechanical commitment before deciding.
Outcome rehearsal with explicit commit boundary
The player can inspect an ephemeral result and then decide whether to commit the turn. The frame explicitly labels the choice as reversible.
Preview the collateral effects of a choice
Changing one control has consequences elsewhere. The screen names the affected actions while the player is considering the mapping.
Opposing outcomes printed on the controls
Each command says what verdict it will apply, even without recognizing red or green. No explanation of the border agency is needed to tell these outcomes apart.
Mark the challenge without revealing the ending
The player sees which capacity is being tested and the qualitative difficulty while the fictional response remains uncertain.
State the target count and transformation
A short sentence specifies the object count and the effect before use. Knowledge of the Glass Card rule is a separate learning requirement.
